Photographer / Director / Writer
Born in London, I grew up on the Southeast Coast of England, in the vibrant city of Brighton.
My upbringing and experiences of a coastal/rural environment have greatly informed my work, taking vast amounts of inspiration from the landscape and the attachment I find within it.
My artistic practice combines photographic documentary work, quasi fictional filmmaking, and poetic written meditations; endeavouring to portray my unique perspective in every aspect of my storytelling. My personal work seeks to visualise the complex dynamic between our psychological states and the world we exist in. Topics of love, loss, friendship, and mental health are all prevalent in my projects to date. My subjects are often closely related to me, helping to gain deeper intrapersonal understanding, making work that signifies the importance of these connections. I use both digital and analogue photographic methods to achieve these outcomes.
I have gained highly valuable knowledge and experience from working as a photographic assistant for three prolific documentary photographers: Simon Roberts, Laura Pannack, and Barry Lewis, gaining insight into their professional artistic practices, and learning valuable skills to succeed in the industry. I worked as a gallery assistant for the photographic organisation, LensCulture, hosting their 2023 gallery at the prestigious Photo London. My work has gained interest from fashion brands and musicians, being commissioned to shoot several promotional campaigns, cover art, and live shows. Graduating from London College of Communication’s BA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography course, in the summer of 2024, I seek to continue my artistic journey by applying for arts grants and residencies in the future.
